Use case · Beneficial owner verification

Beneficial owner verification

Find the peoplewho own it.Then verify them.

Due diligence on a company means knowing the natural persons who own and control it. Toden reads owners and directors from the registry, works out who crosses your ownership threshold, follows a corporate shareholder up to the people above it, and invites each person you require to verify themselves.

The workflow

From a registry record to verified, screened beneficial owners, with the decision held until they are done. This is a starting point: add, remove or reorder any step in the workflow builder.

Then your rules decide

A starting rule set

  • An owner fails their identity checkDecline
  • An owner is on a sanctions or PEP listReview
  • The ownership chain stops at a company nobody could traceReview
  • An owner has not verified before the deadlineReview
  • Every required owner verified and clearApprove

Every rule is yours to change on a visual canvas, and each result records which rule decided it. Publishing a new version needs no release.

How it works

1

Read the ownership

Owners, directors and shareholdings come from the registry and from what the applicant declares. A person filed under several roles is one person, counted once.

2

Follow the chain

Where a shareholder is itself a company, Toden can look up that company and work out each person's effective stake in the applicant.

3

Verify and wait

Each required person gets their own link. Your workflow waits for them, with a time limit, and decides when they finish or the limit passes.

What powers it

  1. A holding company in the chain is looked up in its own registry, and stakes are multiplied through, so 75% of a company that holds 60% is counted as 45%.

Integrate

Mount the SDK with the workflow you published, or send a hosted link and write no code. The result arrives by signed webhook, and changing the workflow never needs a release.
