Driver and courier onboarding
A real licence.The right driver.Checked again later.
A mobility platform is trusted with its riders' safety. Toden checks that the licence exists on the government record and has not expired, that the person applying is the person on it, and, on any later shift, that the account is still in the same hands.
The workflow
Licence, face and device at sign-up, and a selfie check before a shift when you want one. This is a starting point: add, remove or reorder any step in the workflow builder.
Step 01
Phone Verification
Proves the phone number with a one-time code
Step 02
Document Intelligence
Reads the licence and its expiry date
Step 03
Government database validation
Nigeria, driver's licence record
Step 04
Passive Liveness
A selfie with no prompts
Step 05
Facial Match
Selfie against the photo on the licence record
Step 06
Device Intelligence
Flags a phone already used by other drivers
Step 07
Face Search
Is this a driver you already removed?
Then your rules decide
A starting rule set
- The face is on your blocklistDecline
- The licence has expiredDecline
- The selfie does not match the licence photoDecline
- The phone has verified other driversReview
- Licence valid, face matchedApprove
Every rule is yours to change on a visual canvas, and each result records which rule decided it. Publishing a new version needs no release.
Try the workflow builderConnection map
When a face, a phone or an address turns up again, the console draws everyone gathered around it and says in plain words what the connection means and how much weight it deserves.
- Supporting evidence4 people used the same phoneFamilies, agents and business centres share devices. Review the other evidence before deciding.
- Needs review2 of them verified with the same phone numberTwo independent details connect the same people, which deserves a closer look than either alone.
- An illustration with invented people. In the console each card opens the customer's record.
How it works
Capture the licence
The driver photographs both sides. Toden reads the number, name and expiry date, using the barcode where the licence has one.
Check the record and the face
The number is looked up with the licensing authority, and a live selfie is compared with the photo on that record.
Check again before a shift
A face check in your app confirms the verified driver is the one logging on, and returns the answer in seconds.
What powers it
An expired licence is declined by default. You can allow a grace period, and you are told before a verified licence runs out.
Integrate
Mount the SDK with the workflow you published, or send a hosted link and write no code. The result arrives by signed webhook, and changing the workflow never needs a release.
import { TodenVerification } from "@todenhq/sdk-react"; export function Verify({ userId }) { return ( <TodenVerification apiKey="pk_test_..." workflowId="wf_AbC123dEf456" userId={userId} onSubmit={(s) => save(s.verificationId)} /> );}{ "event": "verification.completed", "data": { "verificationId": "ver_8fk2...", "status": "verified", "assuranceLevel": "gov_db", "idType": "bvn", "country": "NG", "dataMatch": true, "facialMatch": true, "facialConfidence": 91 }}Products involved

Driver's licence records are checked in Nigeria and Ghana. Elsewhere the licence is verified from the document itself, and the result says which level of assurance was reached.
